A brand-new Irish pub has arrived in the heart of Liverpool’s iconic Cavern Quarter. Temple Tavern opened its doors this past weekend on Stanley Street – just off the world-famous Mathew Street – bringing traditional charm, live music, and unbeatable pub prices to the city centre.
Located in the former Reiss Liverpool store, the new venue blends authentic Irish spirit with local flair. With live music every day including regular traditional Irish “Trad Sessions” Temple Tavern is already proving a hit with both locals and visitors alike.
The pub’s drinks menu features over 30 carefully selected Irish whiskeys, alongside wallet-friendly offers that roll prices back to what you’d expect from your favourite neighbourhood spot. Whether you’re popping in for a quiet pint or staying for a full night of music and craic, Temple Tavern promises a lively, welcoming atmosphere.
“We’re really excited to bring this new Irish venue to Mathew Street” said Shannon Gaynor, Operations Manager at Pub Invest Group. “Temple Tavern is an intimate yet lively pub with lots packed into it, from the detail that’s gone into the interiors to the traditional Irish music. We have rolled back pricing to what you expect from a local pub so we’re going to be pretty unique compared to most city centre venues as well. The launch weekend was a huge success and we look forward to a busy summer in the city.”
Spread across two floors with additional outdoor seating, the venue is designed for all-day socialising and long summer evenings. It’s the latest opening from Pub Invest Group, the Liverpool-based hospitality operator behind more than 40 city centre venues including Level, Erics, The Old Bank, and the Rubber Soul Complex.
The launch has also created 30 new part-time and full-time jobs, further strengthening the city’s vibrant hospitality scene.
Open seven days a week, with closing times of 2am Sunday to Thursday and 4am on Fridays and Saturdays, Temple Tavern is ready to become your new favourite city centre local.
