Ezra & Gil Announce Liverpool Opening

One of Manchester’s most popular brunch spots have announced their plans to open in Liverpool city centre.

Ezra & Gil, which already has venues on Hilton Street and Peter Street in Manchester, recently announced their plans to open their next site in Liverpool.  The coffee shop is known across the Northern Quarter for constantly being busy, with queues regularly forming before it even opens.

Ezra means ‘helper’ & Gil means ‘happiness’, the team’s recipe for good service and contented customers. Described as a place you can grab a quick bite, linger in over your laptop or meet friends – you can even bring your furry friend as dogs are welcome.

Opening its first venue in 2015 and a second in 2019, Ezra & Gil draws in crowds for its beautiful cake counter, quality coffee and chilled vibe. Menu highlights include smashed pumpkin on toast with a poached egg, and chorizo and ham mash benedict. The brunch menu boasts pancakes and French toast and breakfast favourites include eggs royal and vegetarian and vegan options.

The Manchester venues attract five-star reviews with one Google reviewer stating:

“WOW just wow, there was a little queue because it was a lovely Saturday morning so everyone had the same idea on going out for breakfast, however the queue went fast and it was 100% worth the wait.”

The new store will occupy the former site of French restaurant Bouchon, which closed in late 2023 citing increasing costs as a major barrier to success.
