Sesay’s Celebrates Second Birthday

Popular Crosby restaurant and bar Sesay’s celebrates its Second Birthday this week by doing what the team there does best – serving up incredible food, delicious drinks, and a range of live entertainment for their loyal customers. Founder Shane Sesay said:

“We’re thrilled to celebrate the two-year anniversary of Sesays Bar & Kitchen. It’s been an incredible journey, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the unwavering support and dedication of our team and our customers. Our amazing team has worked tirelessly to serve up some great memories and unforgettable dining experiences, and our wonderful guests have been at the heart of it all.”

If owner Shane Sesay looks familiar then there’s a good chance you’ve seen him somewhere before! Shane started his hospitality career in London, working for the famous Hard Rock Café where he spent 8 hours a day washing dishes before being promoted to a KP role.

“In 1997 I came to Liverpool for a night out, and I absolutely loved it. Shortly after I returned to London where I packed all of his belongings into a taxi and made the move to this great city!”

Shane has worked in more venues than you can count, including Uncle Sams, Yates, Wetherspoons, Lloyds Bar and The Merton, before taking a position at The Morris Dancers in Scarisbrick. HE was responsible for establishing the Kaspa’s brand in Liverpool, opening their first site in the city and overseeing recruitment, operations and compliance, before moving on to popular pizza restaurant Crust, and eventually Manhattan Bar & Grill.

In 2021 Shane finally realised his dream of owning his own restaurant, and all that experience is now being put to use in one of Crosby’s most exciting ventures.

“We’ve recruited a young, energetic team and I’m really keen to provide them with the opportunities I had when starting out in my own hospitality career. I’m passionate about developing great people and building a team that treats their guests like family, a team who can help me to take Sesay’s confidently into the future.”

Shane’s own message of thanks was shared on Facebook with his team and his loyal customers.
