Is Liverpool Getting a Wingstop?

Wingstop – major U.S.-based restaurant chain famous for its bold, flavour-packed chicken wings – looks set to open its first location in Liverpool on Bold Street.

Founded in 1994 in Texas, Wingstop initially started as a small buffalo-style wing eatery but rapidly grew due to its unique flavours and emphasis on quality. The brand has since expanded worldwide, with over 1,500 locations globally and multiple branches in the UK, including London, Manchester, and Birmingham.

Wingstop’s menu is centred around chicken wings, but also offers boneless wings, tenders, fries, and sides, all prepared with unique flavours. Wing lovers can choose from popular seasonings like the iconic Lemon Pepper, Spicy Korean Q, Hickory Smoked BBQ, and Mango Habanero.

The brand’s dedication to handcrafted flavours and fresh, never-frozen chicken has won it a loyal fanbase. Additionally, the restaurant’s offerings include various dips and sides such as Cajun Fried Corn, ranch, and blue cheese dips, along with loaded fries.

The new Liverpool branch is actively hiring, signalling a commitment to integrate into the city’s vibrant dining landscape and offering job opportunities for locals.

Wingstop’s arrival in Liverpool also highlights the continued interest of international brands in the UK market, following successful launches for brands including Jollibee, Wendy’s, and Popeyes. The Bold Street opening will provide a unique American-style dining experience for local food enthusiasts, adding to Liverpool’s expanding array of diverse food spots.
