Byron Burgers have set out to create an exclusive burger for Liverpool that celebrated the city’s vibrant food culture and allowed them to work with a couple of local legends. This week, they launch their ‘Salt and Pepper’ burgers, in collaboration with Liverpool’s own Asian street food legends, Maggie Fu, as well as launching a new limited edition beer with beloved Black Lodge Brewery.
For a limited time only, guests in Liverpool can enjoy brand-new Maggie Fu-inspired Salt and Pepper burger, choosing either soy glazed salt and pepper beef, or crispy salt and pepper chicken. The rest of the burger packs a punch with Maggie Fu’s iconic salt and pepper veg mix, alongside pickled cucumbers, an Asian inspired slaw, sweet chilli sauce, and Kewpie mayo – all packed into Byron’s signature soft bun, it’s savoury, spicy, sweet, and unmistakably Maggie Fu.
Byron have proudly worked with Black Lodge since 2023, but to celebrate this collab, are adding a limited edition beer to the menu. ‘Bjorn’ Sichuan Pepper Pale by Black Lodge Brewery, Black Lodge’s first release in their 10th anniversary limited-edition beer series is a perfect fit for this burger. Expect deep, earthy hops, with a zingy peppercorn finish, crafted just a stone’s throw away in the Baltic Triangle. Classic Black Lodge lager and IPAs are also available on draught at Byron Liverpool.
“We’re so proud to be working with such Liverpool legends on this one,” says the Byron Liverpool General Manager, Gilberto Pina. “This burger was created by our team in collaboration with Maggie Fu and it truly represents the fun, creativity, and flavour that makes this city’s food scene so exciting – we’re sure everyone’s going to love it!”
Head down to Byron, grab a burger, sip something local, and celebrate the best of Liverpool’s flavour, fire, and independent spirit at Byron. Available from Wednesday 16th April – only at Byron Liverpool
