Award-Winning Kebab Concept Opens in Liverpool

Great British Doner is preparing to bring its award-winning take on the doner kebab to Liverpool with the opening of its first restaurant in the city on Saturday 13th December. The Manchester-born brand has built a strong following for what it describes as its commitment to “great doner with quality, integrity, and bold flavour,” and its arrival is expected to make an impact on Liverpool’s late-night food scene.

Founded in Manchester, Great British Doner earned a reputation for elevating the classic kebab by using fresh Halal beef and chicken seasoned with a secret spice blend. The meat is cooked on a traditional rotating spit and carved by automatic robot machines to create the brand’s signature succulent and flavourful doner. Guests can also expect the return of the popular Chocolate Kebab for those who prefer something sweet.

Liverpool will see the brand introduce a major first for the UK kebab market. The opening will debut Great British Doner’s Vegan Doner cooked on its own dedicated spit. This new plant-based option has been created to offer the same visual appeal, flavour and texture as the meat versions, giving customers an inclusive and authentic experience.

The new site opens in early December and aims to appeal to Liverpool’s students, professionals and the city’s late-night crowd, offering a premium quick-service option that maintains the brand’s focus on freshness and quality.
