Liverpool’s independent restaurant and bar group, DGB Hospitality, is set to invest more than £1 million in the launch of a new retro disco club. According to the Liverpool Echo, the new venue, named Gloria’s, will open its doors on Back Berry Street, taking over the space previously occupied by Mojo, a cocktail bar and music venue.
Gloria’s is designed as a cocktail lounge that transforms into a vibrant disco club at night, aiming to be “Liverpool’s best dance club” when it officially opens on Friday, 27th September.
Sean Singleton, DGB Hospitality’s marketing manager, expressed the company’s excitement about the new project, saying:
“We’re immensely proud to bring Gloria’s to Liverpool, and it feels special to be adding this as the tenth member of the DGB family. This is our largest investment yet, with over £1 million going into creating Liverpool’s hottest new destination. It’s different from our existing venues and will capture the magic and hedonism of the world’s greatest disco clubs.”
DGB Hospitality already operates several popular venues across the city, including Irish pub Pogue Mahone, American-inspired dive bar Teddy’s, and the Three Piggies Alehouse & Canteen. Gloria’s promises to be an exciting new addition to Liverpool’s nightlife scene, offering a unique blend of retro flair and high-energy dance vibes.
