An Oxton restaurant is one of 15 new venues to join The Michelin Guide Great Britain & Ireland selection this month.
The Michelin Guide showcases high quality cooking across a range of styles and budgets. While the guide’s distinctions – Stars, Green Stars and Bib Gourmands – are only revealed at the annual ceremony, their Inspectors add restaurants to the selection year round, and names are released on a monthly basis.
The team at Michelin had this to say about the recently opened Restaurant OXA:
“The pretty suburb of Oxton is home to this attractive neighbourhood bistro which offers an appealing selection of small plates and sharing dishes, as well as an excellent value lunch menu. Cooking has a British base and the occasional Asian touch, with dishes such as tuna with dashi and onions providing great depth of flavour. There’s a lovely atmosphere about the place and the interesting wine list features almost exclusively British choices.”
With nearly 20 years experience in professional kitchens, OXA’s Chef Patron Andrew Sheridan and Head Chef Jake Smith are both passionate about seasonal produce and nostalgic flavour profiles. The menu at OXA is designed in such a way that guests can enjoy a range of dishes shared between the table, a single dish or just a glass of wine.
Bookings can be made online through the OXA website.
