New Middle Eastern & Mediterranean Restaurant Coming to Bold Street

Bold Street’s already thriving food scene is about to welcome a new addition this autumn as House of Caesar – a restaurant and bar inspired by Middle Eastern and Mediterranean flavours – is set to open its doors at the end of September.

The new venue has taken over the former Maracana Sport Bar at 103 Bold Street, with more than £300,000 invested into transforming the space. Housed in a building that was once a bank, the restaurant will combine modern luxury with cultural touches – think high ceilings, neon accents against dark walls, golden parquet flooring, and embroidered fabrics and cushions to bring warmth and authenticity.

The menu promises a mix of Arabic, Turkish, Syrian, and Mediterranean dishes. Diners can expect everything from marinated chicken, lamb, and fish served with rice and freshly baked breads, to much-loved classics like falafel, fattoush, shawarma, shish and kofta kebabs, hummus, and plenty of plant-based options.

Music and entertainment will play a big part in the experience too, with Middle Eastern sounds setting the tone and live bands performing at weekends.

A spokesperson for House of Caesar said “We’re getting more and more excited as the launch gets closer. Bold Street is already home to an incredible mix of restaurants and cuisines, and we can’t wait to bring House of Caesar into that mix.”

House of Caesar is also recruiting ahead of the opening, with part-time and full-time roles still available. Applicants can send their CV and cover letter to: houseofcaesar2025@gmail.com.
