Seasonal Treats and Christmas Magic at The Wheelbarrow

The Wheelbarrow is getting into the Christmas spirit and bringing a warm festive glow to Liverpool, turning its cosy spot by Greenbank Sports Academy into a seasonal hub of food, music and creative fun. It is shaping up to be one of the city’s liveliest places to celebrate, whether you are after a relaxed afternoon tea, a private party or a hands on festive workshop. Throughout December the main menu will feature a rotating selection of Christmas specials, and the in house baker is busy crafting festive pastries that add an extra touch of indulgence to every visit.

One of the highlights this year is an Afternoon Tea accompanied by the Allerton Brass Band. The nostalgic sound of brass paired with tiers of Christmas inspired treats makes for a perfect seasonal outing. There are two sittings on Saturday 13 December from 1:00 to 3:00pm and 3:30 to 5:30pm. Each Afternoon Tea includes prosecco along with both vegetarian and meat options for thirty seven pounds per person. Seats are limited and can be booked on Eventbrite, in person at the café or by calling 0151 245 6494.

For those planning get togethers, The Wheelbarrow has become a popular choice thanks to its relaxed pub chic style and rustic charm. It can accommodate up to ninety seated guests or one hundred and twenty five for standing events, with on site parking, helpful staff and a menu that suits everything from casual gatherings to more tailored celebrations. Bespoke buffet and drinks packages make organising a festive party feel effortless.

Creative types can join Crafty Monkey for a natural wreath making workshop on Friday 28 November from 7:30 to 9:30pm. It is a chance to design your own wreath while enjoying cakes and pastries fresh from the in house bakery. Tickets are sixty pounds and available via Eventbrite.

Whether you are planning a big night, a cosy afternoon or a crafty Christmas treat, The Wheelbarrow is ready to make the season feel special. All upcoming events and updates can be found on their social media channels.
