Wave goodbye to CV’s and text-based job ads – there’s a new app in town that you’re going to want to download if you’re job hunting…
Video-based jobs app Hiyrd was launched by Samuel Garlick and James Boyd this year, who together bring a wealth of experiences from across different industries.
Despite working in different sectors, they both shared the frustration of recruitment and the overall jobs landscape, so they made the decision to team up and build an app that offers a modern and streamlined approach for employers and potential employees to connect.
The Hiyrd app was built to tackle the main issue they saw when using other popular platforms – no one was offering a real and personal approach to applying for jobs.
The Hiyrd’s app uses video applications to allow employers to gain greater insight into the potential employee beyond their qualifications and experience.
Businesses can also use immersive video content to captivate potential candidates and companies such as Bongos Bingo, Etihad Stadium, Draw and Code, and many more have partnered with the app to promote their latest vacancies.
The app has also been responsible for landing people their latest gigs with employers such as Skiddle, Revolucion De Cuba & 92 Degrees.
No vacancies available? No problem! Businesses can still join Hiyrd and utilise its unique business profile feature which allows them to effortlessly gather followers, ensuring that when they do post roles, their followers will instantly receive push notifications ensuring that their vacancies reach an already engaged audience.
The Hiyrd app is available to download for free on IOS and Android devices. Employers can also sign up to start posting their latest roles both locally and across the UK.
