Suppher is Served in Liverpool

Suppher – the inclusive supper club, powered by women – is coming to Liverpool later this month, hosting a collaborative dinner at Ropes & Twines on Bold Street.

The Manchester-based supper club powered by women has been running events around the UK for almost 4 years. Founders Anna Søgaard and Kim McBride wanted to create a platform for celebrating female talent in the hospitality industry, whilst also using their skills to raise money for charities supporting women.

“When we were invited to host an evening in Liverpool, Anna was the first chef to come to mind. Anna is an insanely talented chef and already part of the Suppher alumni; her dish for our International Women’s Day event last year was mind-blowing and we are absolutely chuffed to be working together again.”

Suppher will be teaming up with local chef Anna Carmichael, and Tita’s Kusina founder Kate Al-Arnab.

“As always it was important to find women who are doing innovative things within the food scene locally and Kate’s style of cooking really jumped out to us. The communal aspect to her supper club is something that we strive for at Suppher events, promoting a space where guests can share stories and meet new people through food.”

Kris Reinhold – resident Sommelier at Liverpool Road Social – will also be pairing wines with the four course meal.

“Kris is Sommelier at the brand new Liverpool Road Social in Crosby, and her CV boasts a number of impressive establishments including Michelin-Starred Fraiche. She is WSET qualified, and her wine lists highlight the classics like English Sparklings and Southern French Dessert wines. Kris will work with Kim from Suppher to choose wines to perfectly compliment Anna and Kate’s menu.”

Profits from the event will be donated to The Women’s Health Information & Support Centre (WHISC) a charity located a few doors down on Bold Street, who support the health & well-being of women and their families in Liverpool and surrounding areas.

The SuppHER dinner will take place on Thursday, 30 November from 7pm at Ropes & Twines on Bold Street, and tickets are available HERE.
