Summer Menu Launches at Stoke

Summer has arrived at the Raddison RED, with a brand new menu created by award-winning Executive Chef Christina Konstantopoulou.

Originally designed as one of the major British Railway Hotels in 1871 by Alfred Waterhouse (a local legacy from Aigburth), the Radisson RED building’s timeless grandeur still remains throughout. Think beautiful high ceilings, an open-plan kitchen, and views of Liverpool’s most iconic monuments.

Situated within the original North Western Hotel, this iconic, Grade-ll listed building now also plays home to Stoke – the word itself meaning to add coal or fuel to a fire or boiler – which also pays subtle homage to its railway roots and the steam engine furnaces that powered them. More directly, it references the coal-fire grills which the restaurant prides itself on.

At its heart, Stoke is a brasserie and grill featuring classic British fare with touches of European delights no doubt influenced by Chritina’s own Greek heritage. The summer menu includes seasonal specials such as Roasted Aubergines with Lentils and Goats Cheese, and a traditional Spinach Pie.

Stoke offers an eclectic mix of brasserie-style favourites and true classics, reinvented including Curried Chicken Skewers with Mango Chutney, Cod with Garlic Mash, and a Flat Iron Steak with Peppercorn Mousse. There’s also a selection of Burgers, and for those with a sweet tooth some delicious desserts.

Reminiscent of the elegance of old-world travel in its design, Stoke has one of the finest settings that historic Britain has to offer, and now one of the best chefs in the country too.
