Liverpool Greggs Now Open 24 Hours

A Liverpool branch of Greggs is one of the first in the UK to serve their baked goods 24 hours a day. Greggs applied for special licences for both its Liverpool Lord Street site, and another shop in Canterbury earlier this year.

It appears that the application has been granted, with Greggs on Lord Street trading 24/7 as of this week.

This makes the site one of the first Greggs to stay open 24-hours a day, with customers able to indulge in its popular sausage rolls and steak bakes at all hours. However the site will only offer a takeaway service, and customers won’t be able to dine in overnight.

Greggs have recently extended their footprint across the city, opening a Tasty by Greggs cafe as part of a £3m extension at the Primark store on Church Street. The new Primark café was the fourth venue of its kind to open in the UK, following openings in London, Birmingham and Newcastle where the brand was first formed in 1939.

Greggs have also announced plans to trial a new 24-hour drive-thru service as part of their brand expansion plans.
