Possibly our favourite week of the year… Let’s celebrate Negroni Week!
Negroni Week 2023 will be taking place from September 18-24, and bars and restaurants around the world will come together to celebrate the iconic Negroni while raising money for a good cause.
This traditional Italian cocktail is made of one part gin, one part vermouth rosso, and one part Campari. Sweet, sour, and very strong, you either love them or hate them, but if you want to try the best in town here are our top tips:
Carlisi Liverpool – the OG Italian Negroni, made with Carlisi Gin and in my opinion the best in the city
Present Company – these guys have always had a strong Negroni game, and there’s a good reason they’re always winning awards (and their Biscoff Old Fashioned is legendary too!)
Berry and Rye – because they’re simply awesome at everything…
The Municipal Hotel – a relative newcomer to the city, here you can sit and sip in beautiful surroundings in the stylish Palm Court
This year also sees Slow Food return as the official Negroni Week giving partner for 2023 with a mission to foster a more equitable and sustainable world of food and beverage. Money raised through Negroni Week donations will support Slow Food’s ongoing initiatives around the world as well as the Slow Food Negroni Week Fund – an organization launched to support community-led projects that lead to the transformation of global food and beverage systems.
