We took a quick spin around the brilliant Liverpool Hospitality Trade Show this week and discovered some truly innovative products in our own backyard! Here are some of our favourites:
A Brand New Product from Turncoat
You might have noticed your favourite local gin has had a makeover recently with a stylish new bottle to boot. Having been bought earlier this year by Edward Ridding, Turncoat has a new look – and some new products in the pipeline too.
They took the opportunity to launch a brand new product at the show which until now has been a closely guarded secret. Their new ‘Masters of Alchemy’ brand has produced a unique 43% Coffee & Miso Gin which promises to be unlike anything you’ve tasted before… Keep your eyes peeled for this landing in your favourite cocktail bar soon.

Alcoholic Ice Cream
Come on what’s not to love with this one? Whether you’re going for a scoop of Pina Colada with Mango and Coconut Sauce or an Espresso Martini Soft Serve this is not your average Mr Whippy. Scooped started here in Liverpool as a lockdown business and has one of the most innovative and delicious products on the market.
With 11 flavours including Lemon Drizzle made with Sipsmith Gin and Cinnamon Apple laced with Fireball Whisky this artisanal boozy cocktail flavoured ice-cream packs a punch at around 6% ABV… Buy them pre-packaged in 2L and 4L tubs or simply invite their ice cream truck along to your next event!

Vodka… Made from Peas?!
Remember when we told you back in 2022 we’d be making milk from potatoes and vodka from milk? Well, we can add peas to that list too with the brilliant Pod Pea Vodka.
Made from peas grown on the beautiful farms of Somerleyton Estate in Suffolk and fermented and distilled just down the road in Manchester, Pod Pea are also doing great things for the planet. Known as ‘nitrogen fixers’ these pea crops rejuvenate the soil helping future crops to thrive. Their still is also steam heated, which means they use less energy and have lower CO² emissions too!

Edible Decorations to Save The Planet
The Garnish Guys are on a mission – not only do they believe that every drink can be turned into a marketing opportunity, but they’re also looking after the environment too.
Shocked to find out the air miles and emissions that a passionfruit racks up, the business was founded to create a more sustainable way to garnish our favourite drinks whilst keeping them insta-worthy. Their completely customisable edible garnishes and cocktail toppers are made from potato starch, and are fully vegan. They even plant trees to offset their carbon footprint!
