Celebrate World Cocktail Day on Liverpool’s Waterfront

Monday May 13th marks World Cocktail Day, and where better to indulge in a tipple or two than our very own waterfront! Here’s our top tips for treating yourself in town this World Cocktail Day…

Titanic Hotel Liverpool : For a refreshing, simple cocktail that is best sipped in the sunshine, head to Titanic Hotel to try their cocktail special of the week, the Irish Mint Julep. Comprising Slane Irish Whiskey, mint leaves and sugar syrup, this cocktail ticks all the boxes for Whiskey lovers, with it also being World Whiskey Day on Saturday 18th May.

The Botanist : Cocktail enthusiasts are spoilt for choice when it comes to enjoying a tipple at Royal Albert Dock, but a Cherry Blossom Martini at The Botanist is a great place to start. Combining a fruity concoction of Roku Gin, Velvet Falernum, strawberry syrup, apple juice and foam, this one is sure to get you in the mood for summer, especially when enjoyed on the dock’s sunny colonnades.

Maray : The cocktail experts at Maray know how to ensure their drinks are on par with their food. The Amarena is a heady mix of amaretto, cherry, Cynar, date, lemon and vegan whites, the perfect springtime tipple to enjoy with views overlooking Royal Albert Dock.

Burnt Milk Hotel : Hidden away in Royal Albert Dock’s Anchor Courtyard, Burnt Milk Hotel is the perfect sophisticated spot to sit back and celebrate World Cocktail Day in style. The Chicago World Fair is one of a kind, offering a creative mix of peanut butter washed brand, banane du Brésil and Wildflower honey.

The Long Shot : The dock’s very own games bar, The Long Shot, offers a perfect combination of great cocktails, delicious doorstop sandwiches, and screenings of all the big matches and games. Rum lovers with a sweet tooth should try their Treacle cocktail, made with El Dorado 12yr, Pedro Ximinez sherry, house blend spiced rum and apple garnish.
