The Sicilian Brothers behind one of Liverpool’s most successful bars have confirmed their plans for a second site in the city.
Brothers Alessio and Federico opened Carlisi on Dale Street back in 2018 with the dream of bringing authentic Italian food, drinks and service to the people of Liverpool.
Now, the Carlisi brothers plan to bring their own brand of Sicilian hospitality to Allerton Road next month, having acquired the site formerly occupied by Maray.

The brothers have built a reputation for their authentic approach, winning ‘Best Aperitivo’ at The Italian Awards just 12 months after opening our doors in 2018. They’re passionate about bringing the flavours of their hometown to the people of Liverpool, even importing oranges and lemons from their family’s farm for their own brand of Carlisi Gin.

Our arancini are handmade in Sicily by a member of the Carlisi family, and we import the finest cheese, wine and meat from the best Italian suppliers. The Allerton site will also boast a new, expanded menu including some of the brother’s own family pasta recipes.
